Senior PHP Developer- Digital Agency- Surrey

Devonshire is currently recruiting for a PHP Developer to work within a multi-disciplined creative and development team based in Surrey, you will be leading a small development team on a range of exciting new projects and will have the opportunity to directly influence the growth and evolution of the department. You will be working in this market leading Digital Agency who have won numerous awards over the past few years for their innovative work. The successful candidate must have a keen interest in emergent digital technologies as well as expertise in LAMP, PHP, MySQL, xHTML, CSS, MVC Frameworks (such as CAKE), JavaScript (jQuery and Prototype) ideally gained within a specialist digital or creative agency. Key requirements: Expertise in object oriented PHP 4/5 and MySQL Experience of CAKEPHP or similar MVC frameworks Strong database design skills Excellent front end development skills including semantically accurate xHTML, CSS and JavaScript (jQuery/Prototype) Command line *NIX server administration, BASH scripting and SVN Experience in creating detailed technical documentation and project scoping Knowledge of web development best practice (usability, accessibility, browser compatibility and WAI/DDA guidelines) Would be nice requirements: Experience developing Flash, Flex or Adobe Air applications (ActionScript 2.0/3.0) Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator Knowledge of open source CMS systems such as Drupal or Joomla Knowledge of 3D modelling software such as 3D Studio Max, Maya or Cinema 4D Digital Agency experience is needed To be considered for this position you will need to be a PHP Guru.
