Course Description

Transforming ideas and concepts into something visual is graphic design in a nutshell, and the only boundary is your imagination.

At our Pittville Studios you can learn to express yourself in a distinctive and imaginative way to ensure those ideas are both memorable and meaningful, and communicate successfully with a particular audience.

During the course you’ll have the chance to experience the diverse nature of this fascinating subject, learning not only the fundamental principles but also looking at both the history and contemporary practice of graphic design. We’ll encourage you to be passionate, ambitious and committed, to be articulate, opinionated and keen to take risks.

And most importantly we want your confidence and experience to bloom while developing your personality, individuality and direction as a designer as you explore new ways of working.

The course starts with working on a variety of projects exploring concepts and design methods, as well as learning terminology and techniques, investigating choice of media, resolving and refining final outcomes and learning how to create finished artwork.

And as well as giving you a firm grounding in graphics, we offer excellent work placement opportunities to help you take your skills further in the working world.
